Special 22012 Progressive Dinner Description: The start of a new year is always an exciting time to reflect on years gone by. A fresh start represents an opportunity for change, revival and renaissance. Niagara Falls Tours is no different. In almost 4 decades of existence, we have been bringing you new and exciting tour packages. 2012 will be a renaissance year for Niagara Falls Tours. Our Progressive Dinner & Tour Package was one of our most successful packages in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Progressive dinners were traditionally organized in rural Ontario to promote friendship in the community. Different courses of a meal were enjoyed in the homes of many families. Come and join us in Niagara for a unique culinary and touring experience like no other. TOUR AS YOU GO Begin with a ride through Niagara’s rural fruit belt to quaint and historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. Groups will be treated to a special British afternoon tea in a rustic country inn. WARM-UP To being the Progressive Dinner, groups enjoy a local winery tour and taste Niagara’s best wines. PROGRESS Meandering along the scenic Niagara River, the group arrives at Queenston Heights Restaurant for the savoury main entree and a magnificent view of the lower Niagara River. TOP THE TOUR Colorful desserts and coffee wait the group at an exclusive dining facility with a view beside the falls. DAY ONE 4:00 p.m. Arrive at The BEST WESTERN FALLSVIEW. Package #30961 11:00 a.m. Depart for the Welland Canal. 11:30 a.m. Arrive at the Welland Shipping Canal where ships travel up and down between Lakes Erie and Ontario around Niagara Falls. 12:00 p.m. Depart for Niagara-on-the-Lake with our tour guide. Is Ontario’s first capital and reminiscent of a “Mini Colonial Williamsburg”. 2012 marks the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 between Canada and the United States and our common peaceful border. 12:30 p.m. Arrive in town. We suggest that your allow the group to have a “light luncheon” on your own as you will be leaving the hotel immediately upon arrival with our tour guide.
