Niagara:
 Harriet Tubman, The Black Moses, ran her Underground Railway System before the Civil War from Niagara. A complex network of safe houses and friends protected runaway slaves on their perilous journey to Canada, known as the Road to Freedom. With a pistol in one hand and a Bible in the other, Tubman led more than 19 expeditions to the South and assisted more than 300 persons to escape the bonds of slavery by following the North Star to the Land of Freedom. Today you can visit her church and hear her story.
